Unless there is a miracle like the whole nation watches Veronica Mars tonight this is it. Tonight is the series finale. The two hour series finale is two episodes back to back.

All we can say now is Goodbye Veronica Mars. Thank you for three years of letting us see into the lives of Neptune's worse and best.

Thank you Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni , Percy Daggs III , Jason Dohring , Francis Capra , Ryan Hansen , Tina Majorino and of course writer/creator Rob Thomas for Three Kick Ass years of good drama.

Veronica Mars (CW, 8 p.m. ET) Series Finale. Two hours. Since fans only recently found out that The CW has officially not picked up Veronica Mars, this episode will most likely be an emotional one. Hopefully it will provide enough closure for fans so that they aren't left hanging. In this episode, Veronica must save Weevil from jail after he's accused of making fraudulent debit cards, and Wallace is stalked. In the concluding episode, a sex tape featuring Veronica and Piz gets on the Internet, and Veronica must discover its origin. Also, Veronica lets Logan know he will no longer be a part of her life.

Everyone always says that it's better for a show to die at its peak, rather than linger for an unnaturally long life, hemorrhaging quality and viewers. That's usually true, but it less painful--for the viewers--when a show dies at a midpoint between these two stages--when it's still good, but no longer as transcendentally excellent as it once was. I was pleased with this season's opening mystery arc, but less impressed with the murder mystery, whose handling I found aimless and half-hearted. Worst of all, when the time came for the standalone episodes (two of which have been quite good), I found myself caring a great deal less than I thought I would. I was ready to let go.

We're losing Veronica Mars not at its prime, which would be tragic, nor at its lowest ebb, which would be, in certain ways, even more tragic, but in its comfortable middle age. Which is sad, but still allows us to remember that Veronica Mars was exceptional TV. The first season alone is a fantastic accomplishment, and for all their problems the second and third season have a lot to recommend them. The television landscape will be a great deal bleaker for its absence, but I can withstand the loss. This might not be the worst possible outcome.

Funny thing is I am not as heartbroken at this show as I was with the ending of Angel. Angel was cut with the show in it's creative prime. Everything was finally coming together for the show and the ratings were going up. I was sobbing and heartbroken with Angel being gone.

But with Veronica Mars I don't know it's a great show and I will miss it but I find myself not about to hyperventilate. Yes it was cut short but for three seasons the ending of the series now it should be done. I mean how much murders can one person solve.

All we can say now is Goodbye Veronica Mars. Thank you for three years of letting us see into the lives of Neptune's worse and best.

The CW has formally announced their Fall 2007 schedule on Thursday, and it has been confirmed that Veronica Mars is not on the schedule for a fourth season.

There was the thought that, if creator Rob Thomas can come up with some scripts for Veronica Mars: FBI by June 15, that the CW could reconsider, but considering the show's recent string of dismal ratings this is seeming very unlikely. Rob Thomas himself has said at E! Online that he is "out of hope."

Also putting a kink in the likelihood of Veronica's return: Kristen Bell has signed on to be the self-titled narrator in The CW's NEW series, Gossip Girl. Could this be an attempt to placate disappointed Veronica fans after a cancellation? You can read all about Kristen's new job at Entertainment Weekly's website where the article was first broken.

If Veronica Mars is indeed over, then the episodes airing on May 22 will be the last we see of her. Considering that the show was initially more of a hit with fans and critics than it was in the ratings race, the fact that Veronica lasted as long as it did was an accomplishment.

Brace yourselves — the Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars universes are about to collide! I just got a smokin' hot tip that Gilmore guy Matt Czuchry will cross over to Veronica Mars on Oct. 24 — but not as Logan Huntzberger. It's better: He's playing Charlie Stone, half brother to none other than Logan Echolls! Can you believe it? Logan is playing Logan's brother! I love it!

Veronica Mars adds to cast

Julie Gonzalo and Chris Lowell will return as college students in
third season of detective show.

Chris Lowell goes to Mars
The teen detective drama, which returns for its third season this
October on The CW, will add Julie Gonzalo and Chris Lowell to the
cast as recurring characters. The two will play Parker and Piz,
college students who first appeared in season two.

Parker and Piz will show up in "Welcome Wagon," the first episode of
season three, as students at Hearst College, the local college that
title character Veronica Mars will attend. Also attending Hearst will
be Veronica's friends, Wallace (Percy Daggs III), Logan (Jason
Dohring), and Mac (Tina Majorino).

Mars creator Rob Thomas recently spoke about the new season of the
show, which premieres October 3 on The CW. Thomas says that although
Mars was only picked up for a 13 episode order this season, he is
thinking like "a man who is confident he'll get 22."

July 23, 2006 - As Saturday's Veronica Mars panel began, each of the participants were introduced, including creator Rob Thomas and cast members Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring, Ryan Hansen, Michael Muhney and Enrico Colantoni (Francis Capra arrived a bit later due to traffic). The audience erupted in extremely enthusiastic cheers and applause for each person, and asked what it felt like to get such a reaction, Colantoni simply said, "Holy f**k!"

PASADENA, Calif. -- Day One of The CW Era will be Wednesday, Sept. 20.
Or, two days after the former UPN and WB affiliates switch over from
their former identities.

Although there won't be dead air on Sept. 18 and 19, The CW's official
launch will happen on the 20th with a two-hour premiere of "America's
Next Top Model." The new network will then stagger the rollout of its
other shows over the next two weeks.

Pro-wrestling franchise "Friday Night Smackdown!" will be next up,
making its CW debut Friday, Sept. 22. The weekday schedule will fall
into place the following week, with the network's Sunday comedies
premiering Oct. 1 and "Veronica Mars" forming the last piece of the
puzzle on Tuesday, Oct. 3.

UPN officially ends its life as a network on Friday, Sept. 15; The WB
will go off the air two nights later. Affiliates of The CW will switch
over on Monday, Sept. 18. The two days before the "Top Model" premiere
will probably be filled with repeats and a premiere special, says Dawn
